Life is an amazing journey, no? I’ve learned so many lessons in my 40 years. For those of you who know me, you know that I am passionate about a few things: Protection and conservation of the Earth (and all of her incredible life), nutrition, health and wellness. I am always looking for new information regarding the objects of my passion (see above) – it’s a bit of an obsession. Over the years, many of my loved ones have shared their conscious living knowledge with me and asked me to do the same. What a gift!
We all know that life is constantly changing. To me, this means one of two things: we constantly struggle against the changes OR we live and learn and adapt with the flow. Fighting change can be frustrating, limiting and futile. But luckily, we are alive now and have the opportunity to learn and grow and reinvent ourselves – every day. Isn’t that wonderful?!
It turns out that all of my obsessive researching over the years has left me with a treasure trove of knowledge nuggets! My Wise Apples. I’m willing to bet that most of you also have some Wise Apples to share with your community. I chose that name for this gathering of ideas for a couple of reasons: 1) Apples are awesome (an apple a day, etc. etc.) and 2) Apples are intrinsically tied to knowledge in our culture due to a certain creation myth.
Sharing this knowledge as a form of caring for our friends and neighbors is a beautiful thing. So I’m going to share with you what I’ve learned, and hope that you share with me in return. With that, I’ll jump down off my soapbox (or apple crate, as it were. Yeah, I went there) and start dishing out some of my goodies.
I love being alive and I will be the best (person) I possibly can. I will take love wherever I find it and offer it to whoever will take it – seek knowledge from those wiser, and teach those who wish to learn from me. –Duane Allman
